Helping the homeless in Michiana since 2012.

Michiana Five for the Homeless reaches out to those without shelter, extending friendship, trust and kindness through the simple act of providing necessities to survive the streets. This first small step helps our volunteers build a relationship with our homeless neighbors, allowing us the chance to provide further assistance, with the ultimate goal of finding a home for everyone who wants one.

COVID 19 protocols:  Due to the ongoing pandemic, Michiana Five volunteers will be required to wear masks and we would prefer any donations be left outside the pick-up area at the designated time. We are slowly accepting most donations as of October 2021, but there may be exceptions which will be determined at the time of the donation.

During this pandemic, as we do our best to take care of ourselves and each other, Michiana Five for the Homeless and our volunteers continue to assist the homeless daily. Until notice, our monthly distributions at Guidance Ministries, Mishawaka Food Pantry and Osceola United Methodist Church have been suspended. The monthly distribution at Our Lady of the Road will resume November 2021.

At Michiana Five, we value our volunteers greatly and may have to reduce our services somewhat to protect their health. However, we believe strongly in our mission to help the homeless, and we continue to be on the front lines, making sure they have what they need to survive, including now COVID testing and vaccinations, masks and hand sanitizer.
